Viacom 18’s Release Slate Includes “Fighter,” “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,” and “OMG” Sequel

Viacom18 Studios and Tipping Point have unveiled their upcoming project slate, featuring a diverse range of films and web series. Among the films are “Fighter”, which is being billed as India’s first aerial action film, and Karan Johar’s “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani”. There will also be a sequel to “OMG – Oh My God!”. The line-up includes a coming-of-age journey called “Dhak Dhak” featuring four unlikely women bikers played by Fatima Shaikh, Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, and Sanjana Sanghi. Paresh Rawal will be starring in a courtroom family drama titled “Shastry Vs Shastry”. Huma Qureshi will feature in “Single Salma”, and Nana Patekar and Meezan Jaffery will be in “Suspect”, an intriguing thriller.

Ajit Andhare, COO of Viacom18 Studios, stated that the company’s mission is focused on curating a compelling and diverse slate of stories that connect with viewers’ hearts, regardless of the screens they play on. This will include 10 new web series from Tipping Point, a young digital content brand under Viacom18 Studios.

The web series include “Gaanth”, a Delhi-set crime thriller; “Transition”, a reality series that follows the journey of a trans woman; “Kaalkoot”, an investigative drama that hits hard as a social commentary; “Boots, Belts & Berets”, a heartwarming coming-of-age story of academy freshers turning to men in uniform; “Mahim”, an adaptation of Jerry Pinto’s book set in Mumbai; and “Cheeku”, a coming-of-age story of a 24-year-old man from the Tamil Brahmin Iyer community in Mumbai.

In addition to these titles, Viacom18 Studios’ Hollywood roster includes “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One”, an upcoming spy action adventure featuring Tom Cruise, and “Transformers: Rise of The Beasts”, the seventh installment of the Transformers franchise.

The announcement showcases the studios’ commitment to providing viewers with diverse and compelling stories that reflect a wide range of experiences and perspectives. With a mix of films and web series spanning different genres, Viacom18 Studios and Tipping Point aim to appeal to a broad audience while also challenging and engaging them.
